Tendo support Penal Reform International on media activity for 10th anniversary of ‘Bangkok Rules’

We are delighted to have supported Penal Reform International on their media activity for a launch of a new report which reveals that the female prison population rises by 100,000 in past decade. This is despite the implementation of the ‘Bangkok Rules’ ten years ago, which were implemented to reduce the imprisonment of women by promoting noncustodial alternatives and addressing the causes of their offending.

This included securing a piece in the Guardian which can be read here - https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2020/dec/10/alarming-number-of-women-behind-bars-rises-by-100000-in-past-decade
