Securing a Review of Smart Motorways -  Campaign for Safer Roadside, Rescue and Recovery

We run the Campaign for Safer Roadside Rescue and Recovery and the APPG for Roadside Rescue and Recovery to raise awareness of the serious problems with smart motorways.

We drafted a report into All Lane Running smart motorways and secured a BBC Panorama special on the report’s findings

We also secured coverage in The Sun, The Guardian, The Daily Mail, Metro, The Times and the front page of The Daily Telegraph

As a result of our activity, the Department for Transport made significant changes to the design of future smart motorways, including in some places adopting language directly from our report.
