Foreign Office Minister joins APPG to discuss high seas treaty

27.02.2025 | News and Insights

Last week, our team were in Parliament welcoming Richard Benyon, Minister for Climate, Environment and Energy at Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, to meet with the All-Party Parliamentary Group for the Ocean.

This was a great opportunity to bring together parliamentarians with a keen interest in the ocean, including former Secretary of State for Environment Thérèse Coffey, Shadow Minister for Climate Change Kerry McCarthy MP, Shadow Minister for Flooding, Oceans and Coastal Communities Emma Hardy MP and Shadow Minister for Energy Security Alan Whitehead MP, to speak to Lord Benyon on a number of important ocean priorities.

We provide the secretariat to the APPG for the Ocean, which is chaired by Sally-Ann Hart, and we are delighted to work closely with our client National Oceanography Centre in supporting this APPG.

Thank you to all for coming and if you would like to find out more about our work with the APPG or in the ocean sector, please contact paul@tendoconsulting.co.uk
