We were hired by the Airport Operators Association to support their press office and provide public affairs support during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a part of our contract we provided a 24 hour press office function and increased their presence in the media through strong reactive activity and creative proactive stories.

This included:

  • Securing media coverage and political cut through on survey results showing that airports in England were set to lose £4 billion in 2020

  • Securing regular broadcast appearances for the CEO and Chair

  • Utilising the media to secure partial business rates relief for airports

  • Highlighting the risk of job losses in the sector through a survey of members

  • Drafting opinion pieces for the Chair, CEO and supportive stakeholders

  • Organising regular MP briefing sessions
