Delivering Mobility Credits - BVRLA and Enterprise Rent a Car

ERAC 2.png

We were tasked by our clients the British Vehicle, Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA) and Enterprise Rent a Car to promote their concept of mobility credits to political audiences with a view to securing Central Government funding for a local mobility credits pilot.   Our work on this project included:

  • Drafting a full policy proposal including costings and environmental savings

  • Securing meetings with and support from Special Advisers at No10 and civil servants at DfT, BEIS and CCAV

  •  Liaising with potential pilot partners in Local Government

As result of this activity:

  •  Conservative Mayor of West Midlands Andy Street announced that the West Midlands would be the first 'Future Mobility Area'

  • The Chancellor announced funding for 'Future Mobility Zones' in the 2018 Budget

  • Coventry City Council announced plans for a pilot of mobility credits in February 2020
