 February at Tendo

Media in Focus

It’s been another exciting month for the Tendo team, as we continue to help our clients amplify their voices through the media.

As we wrap up February, we’re proud to highlight some of the standout media hits we’ve secured across a variety of sectors. From national coverage to trade press, we’ve been helping our clients raise their profiles and drive impactful conversations in their respective fields.

The Investing and Saving Alliance (TISA)

We provide external communication services for TISA to support their efforts to shape the financial services industry and drive meaningful conversations on improving UK consumers’ financial well-being.

In February, this included:

  • Issuing press releases on two technical consultations, receiving coverage in Money Marketing and FT Adviser.

  • Supporting TISA to provide a comment on the ongoing debate around the Chancellor potentially removing tax breaks on Cash ISAs. The comment was featured in the Daily Express’s coverage of the topic.

  • Supporting TISA in their call for greater consistency in pension projection calculations used across different regulatory frameworks, securing coverage in the Corporate Adviser and Pensions Age

  • Securing an Op-Ed for TISA’s CEO, Carol Knight, in the Daily Mail on Cash ISAs, alongside an interview on the podcast ThisIsMoney. Her comments were also covered in the Daily Star, Daily Express and several regional outlets.

EVA England

We provide public affairs and PR support for EVA England, the members’ association dedicated to promoting the interests of electric vehicle drivers. In February, we helped EVA England following the publication of their new report and react to developments in the EV space.

This included:

  • An announcement of EVA England’s new report ‘Key steps to driving ZEV demand’ featured in key trade publications such as FleetWorld, Motor Trader, and TransportEnergy.
  • EVA England’s response to new electric vehicle sales figures featured in The Fast Charge, and Transport and Energy.
  • EVA England’s reaction to ZapMap’s new research on public charging featured in EV Fleet World and Renewable Energy Magazine.

World Cancer Day and Radiotherapy

This month, we supported our client, Radiotherapy and the #CatchUpToCancer Campaign, with a day of parliamentary and media activity on the 4th of February for World Cancer Day.

This included:

  • Following Radiotherapy UK and the #CatchUpWithCancer campaign’s overwhelmingly successful day of campaigning and parliamentary activity, the events from World Cancer Day featuring Bryan Robson OBE landed on the Press Association newswire.
  • Professor Pat Price featured in an article for The Guardian that highlights the sharp rise in cancer patients waiting for treatment in England.
  • Ahead of World Cancer Day 2025, Radiotherapy UK’s analysis featured on the front page of The Guardian.

Back British Biking Campaign

This month, the Government announced it would be removing anti-dumping measures on all non-folding e-bikes imported from China. As part of our work on the Back British Bikes Campaign, we urged the Government to reverse this decision to safeguard the industry’s future.

In February, this included:

  • Securing coverage of the Government’s decision in the Daily Express, providing briefings and providing quotes from industry representatives.

CyberUp Campaign

As part of our work in cyber policy, we run the CyberUp Campaign – The UK’s leading coalition calling for an urgent update to the UK’s cyber laws.

In February, this included:

  • The campaign securing coverage on The Record discussing the Home Offices reporting mechanisms for cyber security, which puts individuals at risk of prosecution.
