At Tendo, we have been keeping ourselves busy and have delivered yet another fantastic week supporting our clients across a variety of sectors!

Here are a few of our highlights from last week:

To mark World Ocean Day, Paul Gaffney and Florence Lee attended the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office’s Blue Belt 10-Year Anniversary Reception in their role as secretariat for the APPG for the Ocean. They heard from Minister Stephen Doughty MP on the achievements of the landmark programme and its vision for the future.

As part of the secretariat for the APPG for the Ocean, Florence Lee supported a joint roundtable with the APPG for the Cayman Islands and the APPG for the Environment. The discussion focused on the Blue Belt programme and what global leadership on ocean conservation should look like over the next decade.

Tendo were delighted to support the University of Birmingham with a full day in Parliament for the Women with Impact programme. Our team, including Daniel Laing, Florence Lee, Mya Luggah, and Peter Carroll, worked with a brilliant group of female academics, organising a policymakers-meet-researchers lunch, a parliamentary drop-in, and a series of meetings in Parliament.

Paul Gaffney, Jemima Blain and Harry Tugwell supported ABTA at their parliamentary drop-in event on Tuesday. ABTA were supported by representatives of TUI, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, easyJet holidays, Royal Caribbean Group and Virgin Atlantic. The event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with MPs and peers and highlight the value of travel businesses to jobs, growth and local economies across the UK.

Tendo provided support for the APPG for Project Delivery and the APPG for Infrastructure’s joint roundtable in Parliament, bringing together parliamentarians and stakeholders to discuss Professor Graham Winch’s findings from his new report exploring international lessons on infrastructure delivery agencies within the civil service.
